SludgeBar

THE STORY

For over 100 years fuel tanks and how the fuel is removed has seen minor changes, none of which created meaningful improvements. SludgeBar was designed in January 2020 from a desire to solve an industry-wide problem.

After spending countless hours every year changing filters and repairing pumps or equipment, I became determined to figure out a way to keep tanks clean rather than just accept the filth as fact.

Since water and debris always settle on the bottom, and the industry ignores the bottom of the tank until it becomes an issue, creating suction off the entire tank floor seemed like the logical solution. After 3 months of searching for a product or similar idea, nothing came back. So I went to work on the design, the utility patent, and the installation process.

Upon installing the first prototype we unintentionally discovered another enormous value. By creating even suction off the entire tank floor, we gained access to 99% of the product within. Something a standard tank can not achieve. With a SludgeBar equipped tank one can increase their average delivery by 10% or more by utilizing the entire tank, reducing their labor by the same amount.

Fast forward to today and what started as a way to limit service work by keeping the tank clean has quickly evolved into much more. Fuel companies and their customers are quickly realizing that tanks equipped with the SludgeBar’s patent pending design will last longer and cost less to service and maintain.

Someone once said, “Innovation is change that unlocks new value.”

SludgeBar is just that simple.
